Veronica has counseling experience in the community mental health agency, residential facility, and private practice.  Her experiences enable her to provide a safe space on neutral ground for individualized, couples, families, or group treatment.  She is adept working ADHD, Adolescent males and females, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, Interpersonal Relationship Issues, Intimate Partner Relationships, LBGQT Issues, Minority Issues, Mood and Personality Disorders, Phases of Life, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Low Self Esteem, and Sex offenders.

 

She counts it a fortune to be able to walk alongside you utilizing active, supportive, reflective listing, unconditional positive regard, and collaborative discussion. Veronica relishes in opportunities to infuse various treatment modalities into sessions such as music, art, faith, role playing, exposure, motivational interviewing, breathing, grounding and muscle relaxation techniques.  Veronica employs a variety of therapies such as Adlerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Interpersonal Family Systems, Multicultural Therapy, and Rogerian Therapy. 

 

Veronica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies with a concentration in African American History from Bowling Green State University.  She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.  Veronica is licensed by the state of Ohio’s Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board; and is a member of the Ohio Counseling Association, American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development,  Association for Spiritual Ethical, and Religious Values Counseling , Counselors for Social Justice, and all three are divisions of ACA.

 

Regarding interest and hobbies. Veronica enjoys spending times with loved ones, reading, cooking, intentional shopping, driving, long walks, running, trying new things, and writing.  Veronica also, intends to pick up sewing soon.
